Abstract
My research interests are in macro and micro human resource management and ethics, particularly in the well-being of employees. I am interested in how human resource practices, person-organization fit, and wage inequality impact employee job satisfaction, justice perceptions and stress levels, and also how they impact customer satisfaction and service quality. In addition, I am interested in the well-being of unemployed individuals, and how demographic characteristics or job search strategies can affect their reemployment speed and quality. I specialize in multi-level and interdisciplinary research, and focus on health care and the non-profit sector. DISSERTATION Empirical stakeholder theory model that examines the impact of allowing employees and customers to participate in managerial decision making on employee job satisfaction, stress levels, and wages, as well as resident and family satisfaction in a nursing home setting. Examines whether level of decision making influence or the fit between the amount of influence that the employee or customer needs and management supplies is a better predictor of these outcomes.
