Executive Summa~ This report describes the results of an experiment conducted as part of Round 16 of the National “Longitudinal Sufiey of Youth.wSY).. The N.SY was origifi~lly fielded in 1g7g; the sample consists of persons who were 14 to 21 years old at that time. Through the first 15 rounds of data collectio ~ interviews were conducted eve ~ year and the questions generally covered the period since the last interview. The questions concern a range of tgpics, including labor force and. educational experiences, health and disablfity, marital status, income, and program participation. With Round 17, the schedule of data collection changed...From that round ou interviews will be done every other yem, this change will double the..length of the period covered by m~y
