Abstract
ii An analysis for the downlink of coded OFDMA on a Rayleigh-fading channel, with an arbitrary number of Rayleigh faded co-channel interferers of different powers, is presented. Closed-form expressions for the cdf, pdf, and mgf of the signal-to-noise plus interference ratio in the detector are derived. For the case of perfect interleaving, an analysis for the BER performance for soft-decision decoding is provided. The analysis agrees well with the results obtained by Monte-Carlo computer simulations. For the case of a few co-channel interferes only, it is shown that a substantial performance gain can be obtained by including the fading inter-cell interference power into the design of the detector. iii iv 1
