We present a new oneparameter family of supersymmetric solutions deforming AdS5. This is constructed as an asymptotically locally anti de Sitter (AlAdS) solution of fivedimensional minimal gauged supergravity, with topology R×R4 and a nontrivial graviphoton field, and can be uplifted to ten or eleven dimensional supergravities. An analytic continuation of this solution yields the gravity dual to a class of fourdimensional N = 1 supersymmetric gauge theories on a curved manifold with topology S1 × S3, comprising an SU(2) × U(1)symmetric squashed threesphere, with a nontrivial background gauge field coupling to the Rsymmetry current. We compute the holographically renormalised onshell action and interpret it in terms of the Casimir energy of the dual field theory. We also determine the holographic conserved charges of the solution and discuss relations between them. ar X iv

Abstract: We present the basic N = 1 superconformal field theories in fourdimensional de Sitter spacetime, namely the nonabelian super YangMills theory and the chiral multiplet theory with gauge interactions or cubic superpotential. These theories have eight supercharges and are invariant under the full SO(4, 2) group of conformal symmetries, which includes the de Sitter isometry group SO(4, 1) as a subgroup. The theories are ghostfree and the anticommutator α{Qα, Qα†} is positive. SUSY Ward identities uniquely select the BunchDavies vacuum state. This vacuum state is invariant under superconformal transformations, despite the fact that de Sitter space has nonzero Hawking temperature. TheN = 1 theories are classically invariant under the SU(2, 21) superconformal group, but this symmetry is broken by radiative corrections. However, no such difficulty is expected in the N = 4 theory, which is presented in appendix B.

We show that there is a family of twodimensional (0, 2) SCFTs associated with twisted compactifications of the fourdimensional N = 1 LeighStrassler fixed point on a closed hyperbolic Riemann surface. We calculate the central charges for this class of theories using anomalies and cextremization. In a suitable truncation of the fivedimensional maximal supergravity, we construct supersymmetric AdS3 solutions that are holographic duals of those twodimensional (0, 2) SCFTs. We also exhibit supersymmetric domain wall solutions that are holographically dual to the RG flows between the fourdimensional and twodimensional theories. ar X iv
