This paper provides insights into the unique operation of a multi-campus university and its pursuit to improve the quality of the student learning experience. The paper outlines the institutional repositioning of learning and teaching and discusses the beginning of this journey in terms of improving educational practice in the delivery of courses through the use of the newly adopted Learning Management System (LMS), Moodle. The limitations of past practices are reflected upon within which the new adoption strategies are discussed through the lens of the RIPPLES model, the elements of which include Resources, Infrastructure, People, Policies, Learning, Evaluation and Support (Surry, Ensminger & Haab 2005). The paper highlights the critical influence of these factors in the change management of the new LMS, and outlines an approach for sustaining the renewal of educational practice. The paper concludes with an action plan for continuing the renewal journey through action research.

Over the past decade, Web-based learning management systems, such as Blackboard and WebCT, have been gradually integrated into college education. The strategic use and effectiveness of such systems have been investigated to a large extent. What is less covered is what students really think about such learning management systems. Understanding students ’ evaluations can shed light on the development, selection, training, maintenance, use, and investment on such systems. In this paper, we report a longitudinal study that uses a bottom-up approach to gather qualitative data on student views of WebCT 6. Data were collected at three distinctive times that spanned two semesters to reflect students ’ different experiences in using WebCT 6. Two different methods were used to collect qualitative data so that students could report their views in unconstrained ways. The content analyses results show that (1) students have an integrated view of their technology assisted learning environment, which can be represented by the notion of S-I-A (the system, the instructors and the administrators); (2) as students ’ experience with WebCT 6 increases, their complaints and wishes for instructors and administrators increase; (3) communication-related features continuously dominate students ’ views about WebCT 6; and (4) as their use of WebCT 6 increases,

Over the past decade there has been a large increase in the number of colleges and universities that offer fully online courses and blended courses (courses with a face-to-face component and with an online component). The number of students enrolling in these courses has also increased. These courses are less costly for universities to offer and provide students with more flexibility than traditional classes. However, the effect of these courses on student learning remains unclear. This study examines the effect of blended learning on a specific student learning outcome in introductory economics courses. The effect of blending on learning is determined by comparing scores on quizzes and exams between students in a blended course (the treatment) and students in a traditional face-to-face course (the control). This study accounts for the potential bias due to non-random selection into treatment by using propensity score matching. The results indicate no significant effects of blending on student learning. Abstract- We live in a digitalized era where all the information’s are just a touch away. Even our educational system is not untouched. So the need of hour is of modified learning environment which incorporates the benefits of traditional as well as modern learning. Thus the new concept of learning (Blended) arises. Blended environment is the best possible solution for meaningful learning. In present paper authors glances the various studies and had summarised the findings and views of many of researcher under

enhance teaching and learning. Within the social work field education program Moodle has been embraced as an opportunity to creatively advance current educational practices. The development of a meta-site for field education enables greater connections between the university and the community. This paper explores the perspectives of field educators and academic staff on the opportunities and challenges associated with on-line learning in field education. Specifically it assesses the value of this Moodle site and considers ways in which the current innovation can be further

Based on research findings derived from interviews and questionnaires collected between 2009 and 2012, this concept paper proposes blended online learning design (BOLD) as a solution to some widespread online learning challenges in higher education. More specifically, it defines the pedagogical underpinnings of the blended online learning design (or BOLD) webinar, a hybrid instructional design and delivery model which maintains quality of instruction while increasing accessibility to higher education and cost-effectiveness in graduate-level courses, all elements that contribute to sustainability in online learning. Set against a backdrop of the graduate seminar, learning activity sequencing, based on a combination of individual, team and group work, is presented, design and delivery solutions are described and student, faculty and administration satisfaction levels reported. Preliminary results point favorably to the BOLD webinar model as increasing sustainability in online graduate studies.
