Table 1. Major Sources of Bulletin Board posts in a typical month

in CMU-ITC-89-072 Experience with Electronic Mail in Andrew
by James H. Morris
"... In PAGE 7: ...Table1... In PAGE 15: ... The program has also been used by other classes and even individuals as a way of soliciting help on scholarly papers. The Advisor System 12,13 As the statistics in Table1 indicated, some of the most widely posted-to bbs are the Advisor bbs. They are used by the staff that gives assistance to users.... ..."

Table 3: Query statistics For each query, we de ned relevant documents in the following way. Given the date of the query event, we listened to the recorded news bulletins for that date and for two subsequent days. A 20 second segment of the bulletin was declared to be a relevant document if at least 15 seconds of that segment covered the query event. This strategy yielded on average 2.5 relevant documents per query.

in Financial Markets and the Behavior of Private Savings in Latin America
by Liliana Rojas-suarez, Steven R. Weisbrod
"... In PAGE 6: ...0 23.4 Sourse: IMF dababase To further analyze the behavior of private savings during the 1990s, Table3 presents data for a sample of individual industrial and developing countries. The Table includes data for six developed countries, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the U.... In PAGE 7: ... Table3 indicates that, among the sample countries, private savings relative to GDP is highest for Korea and lowest for Mexico. All the Latin American countries represented in the Table have gross savings ratios significantly lower than Italy, Germany, France, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan.... ..."

Table 4-2 Procedure for Confidence Limit Definition (from Appendix 9, Bulletin 17B) The general form of the confidence limits is specified as:

in No. 1110-2-1619 1 August 1996
by Engineering And Design, Robert H. Griffin
"... In PAGE 19: ... (3) The sampling methods described in Chapter 2 require a complete description of error or uncertainty about the median frequency function. To develop such a description, the procedure shown in Table4 -2 can be repeated for various values of C, the confidence level. Table 4-3, for example, is a tabulation of the statistical model that describes uncertainty of the 0.... In PAGE 19: ... To develop such a description, the procedure shown in Table 4-2 can be repeated for various values of C, the confidence level. Table4 -3, for example, is a tabulation of the statistical model that describes uncertainty of the 0.01-probability quantile for Chester Creek, PA.... In PAGE 19: ... The probabilistic description of discharge-probability function uncertainty can be displayed with confidence limits on a plotted func- tion, as shown in Figure 4-1. These limits are curves that interconnect discharge or stage values computed for each exceedance probability using the procedure shown in Table4 -2, with specified values of C in the equations. For example, to define a so-called 95-percent-confidence limit, the equations in Table 4-2 are solved for values of P with C constant and equal to 0.... In PAGE 19: ... Analytical Approach The analytical approach for adopted discharge-probability functions, also referred to as the synthetic approach, is described in Bulletin 17B (Interagency Advisory Commit- tee 1982). It is used for ungauged basins when the func- tion is derived using the transfer, regression, empirical equations, and modeling simulation approaches presented in Table4 -1 and when it is not influenced by regulation, development, or other factors. The discharge-probability function used is the median function and is assumed to fit a log Pearson Type II distribution by deriving the mean, standard deviation, and generalized skew from the adopted function defined by the estimated 0.... ..."

Table 1. Interactive Pittsburgh bulletin board posts

"... In PAGE 15: ... Finally, it should be noted that the students were not aware we would be using the bulletin board posts as data for this study; if they had been, the data could of course have been skewed by that knowledge. Table1 and Table 2 present a summary of the overall bulletin board traffic during each development project. There were a total of 933 posts consisting of a total of 36,396 lines of text during Interactive Pitts- burgh development, 339 posts and 14,726 lines during Interactive Maps.... ..."
