a study done in collaboration with Dr. Seung Park at the University of California – Davis, the relative hydrogen sulphide (H2S) production of different yeast strains was studied under different levels of nitrogen in the must. The study found that under low nitrogen conditions (60 ppm), yeast strains had a tendency to produce more H2S compared to nitrogen levels of 170 ppm. The yeast strains could be classified as low, medium or high producers. This information will help determine the proper yeast and yeast nutrition under specific must conditions.
On the Windfall of Friendship: Inoculation Strategies on Social Networks
- EC'08
, 2008
"... This paper studies a virus inoculation game on social networks. A framework is presented which allows the measuring of the windfall of friendship, i.e., how much players benefit if they care about the welfare of their direct neighbors in the social network graph compared to purely selfish environmen ..."

Inoculating against pro-plagiarism justifications: rational and affective strategies
- Journal of Applied Communication Research
, 2008
"... Student plagiarism continues to threaten academic integrity. This investigation assessed whether an inoculation message strategy could combat university plagiarism by protecting student attitudes against pro-plagiarism justification arguments. Additionally, we sought theoretical confirmation of prev ..."

INOCULATION AND GROWTH WITH ROOT PARASITIC WEEDS
, 2007
"... A number of parasitic plants have become weeds, posing severe constraints to major crops including grain legumes. Breeding for resistance is acknowledged as the major component of an integrated control strategy. However, resistance against most parasitic weeds is difficult to access, scarce, of comp ..."

OPEN ORIGINAL ARTICLE Stress inoculation modeled in mice
"... Stress inoculation entails intermittent exposure to mildly stressful situations that present opportunities to learn, practice and improve coping in the context of exposure psychotherapies and resiliency training. Here we investigate behavioral and hormonal aspects of stress inoculation modeled in mi ..."

Similar patterns of infection with bovine foamy virus in experimentally inoculated calves and sheep
- J. Virol
, 2013
"... Foamy viruses (FVs) are the least known retroviruses commonly found in primates, cats, horses, and cattle. Although FVs are considered apathogenic, simian and feline FVs have been shown to be associated with some transient health abnormalities in animal models. Currently, data regarding the course o ..."

calves and six sheep inoculated with BFV100 showed no signs of pathology but developed persistent infection, as confirmed by virus rescue, consistent detection of BFV-specific antibodies, and presence of viral DNA. In both hosts, antibodies against BFV Gag and Bet appeared early after infection
Toxic Metal (Cd) Removal from Soil by AM Fungi Inoculated Sorghum
"... Abstract: Health hazards posed by the accumulation of toxic metals in the environment accompanied by the high cost of removal and replacement of metal polluted soil have prompted efforts to develop bioremediation strategies. This green house study was carried out with ‘Jowar’ (Sorghum vulgare) aimed ..."

Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi pre-inoculant identity determines community composition in roots
