Abstract:

This work deals with verification of local 3D geometric model recovered from noisy data. Veri-fication is understood as making decision about consistency of the model with a set of images. To evaluate the consistency, a statistical measure is chosen and a novel procedure for testing statistical dependence among a set of random variables is proposed. The approach is demon-strated on verification of disk-like local 3D surface model in the process of bottom-up surface reconstruction. 1
