Information Brokerage via Internet, Problems and Solutions (The WWW Server of the IBFI Schlo Dagstuhl: Entry Point to High Quality Information about Computer Science)
Abstract:
Since the development of the hypertext transfer protocol, the amount of world wide accessible information is growing at a high rate. With this growth it becomes more and more difficult to find information that is really wanted. We are going to examine two different approaches in information brokerage: 1. Providing a supply of information as complete as possible. 2. Restricting the amount of supplied information in order to ensure high quality. We at Schlo Dagstuhl try to pursue the second possibility using the structure of our institution as much as possible. 1
