Abstract: INTRODUCTION PROSE (PRoduct OfferingS Expertise) is a knowledge based engineering and ordering platform that supports sales and order processing at AT&T Network Systems (AT&T-NS). The cornerstone of the PROSE architecture is a product knowledge base written in C-Classic, a knowledge representation system in the KL-ONE language family that was developed at AT&T Bell Laboratories [1]. Currently, PROSE is being used to provide configurations for sales proposals and to generate factory orders for... (Update)
