Abstract: Given a logic we would like to derive from it a programming language. In order to do this we need to have a formal litmus test which identifies logic programming languages. The standard test is uniformity introduced by Miller, Nadathur, Pfenning and Scedrov. Uniformity suffers from a number of shortcomings, one of the major ones being that it works best in logics which allow only a single conclusion. This report looks at a variety of intuitions which distinguish logic programming from theorem... (Update)
