Abstract: We have developed a formally specified conceptual framework for the modelling of a behaviour-based agent from a deliberative stance. This framework is referred to as the Intentional Deliberation Framework. Beliefs, goals, actions, plans and preferences on plans are defined as concepts within the framework. Choice of what to do next is defined in terms of these concepts. The framework is defined using a set theoretic notation. A method of planning is specified using the conceptual framework and...
