Abstract: Today need of inter and intra network security is quite evident. With the industry going for
business on net this need expands to Internet as well. Several security protocols have been proposed
suited and tailored for dierent scenarios. Distribution protocols for keys, to be used in the
cryptographic functions in these security protocol, is their most critical element. Even the most
elaborate and well thought security protocols will be ineective in case of weak Key Management.
