I would like to offer my special thanks to Dr. James Pustejovsky, my supervisor, for sug-gesting me this topic of research and guiding me when I was confused and overwhelmed by the amount of literature on events in linguistics, natural language processing, and ontology engineering. His comments and suggestions about how to endeavor in this project and about the model specification have been extremely helpful and very much appreciated.
