Abstract

(WCPT) was constituted in 1951 with a founding member-ship of organisations from 11 countries around the globe. Today the WCPT comprises 106 member organizations but the world's largest nation, the People's Republic of China (China) is not amongst them, as physical therapy is not yet recognized as an autonomous health profession by the Chinese government.
