Abstract—Robust single-user detection is em-ployed in a DS/CDMA system in which the noise pro-c(ess cent ains impulsive components. The breakdown point is computed for a mixture noise model. Noise rather than interference is shown to be the prima-ry obstacle in achieving good performance when the signal power is low. The bit error probability expres-sions are also derived under a Gaussian mixture, D-S/CDMA employing a robust correlator receiver per-forms better than the conventional matched filter in impulsive noise environment.
