Abstract
Abstract. Energy consumption and power supply are important aspects of mobile devices. To determine the operation time, knowledge about the energy consumption of the mobile device and the capacity of the battery are needed. By using energy saving techniques and graceful degradation, we can extend the life time significantly. To use these techniques ef-ficiently with respect to response time and functions of the device, measurements on the device and the battery are required. 1
