Abstract
In this paper, we describe an approach to Web Service development and deployment that improves consistency among related Web Services and maps out a suggested pathway for the evolution of Web Service adoption. We suggest an approach that will allow developers to move from statically bound Web Services to Web Services that are dynamically discovered and consumed and ultimately leading to fully automated business processes. Our strategy employs a mapping adapter that lies between the consumer’s Web Service application and the proxy that binds to the provider’s Web Service. The adapter also connects to a central registry of Web Service definitions and mappings. We also suggest the introduction of self-describing web consumer definitions to complement the existing WSDL standard for Web Service provider definitions. We will show
