Abstract
Abstract: This paper describes the design and the specification of a multi-agent system intended to assist users in their activities in computer-mediated distance learning. As we are interested with a pedagogy based on collaborative production in small size groups, the maintenance roles and dynamics of these groups are our main concerns. Our objective is to add functionalities to existing distance learning platforms in such a manner that tutors and coordinator can enhance group dynamics, change the calendar (scheduling) of activities, identify weak learners and offer them judicious help. The design and specification of our multi-agent system named SIGFAD are based on the MaSE methodology. MaSE is an independent intern architecture and implementation framework.
