Abstract
HLA federation executions are managed using a combination of federate and RTI supplied information. This management information is described using the same tools as are used by the federation designers to describe their Federation Object Models (FOMs). The name given to this management information is the Management Object Model (MOM). The design rationale and an initial implementation of RTI-supplied portion of the MOM was presented at the Spring 1997 Simulation Interoperability Workshop. Additional MOM functionality has been implemented in RTI 1.0 as a result of user feedback and further experimentation. This paper describes those additions as part of the High Level Architecture (HLA) development process underway by the DMSO and the DoD Architecture Management Group (AMG). 1.
