Abstract
I n the past few years, service-oriented architec-ture (SOA) has transitioned from a partiallyformed vision into a widely implemented par-adigm, with Web services (WS) being the forerun-ners to implementing SOA-based solutions. But even though the current trend is to use Web serv-ices ’ standards-based nature to establish static connections between various components, busi-nesses are starting to explore dynamic value-added propositions, such as reuse, interoperability, and agility.
