Abstract: In this work, we address the issue of the efficiency and fairness of TCP in networks consisting of both wired and wireless components under various conditions such as wireless error, congestion introduced by multiple competing flows, and different Round Trip Time (RTT). We base this thesis on testing two TCP versions, implementing a conservative and an aggressive congestion control strategy.
