Abstract: Light elds are densely sampled representations of 3D
scenes. They provide a promising image-based rendering
technique capable of rendering photo-realistic
scenes in real time. The rendering method requires
high sampling rate as well as random access to individual
rays, which calls for a good compression scheme
with low decoding complexity as well as low-cost random
access. Furthermore, a scalable scheme is desired,
i.e. as the sampling rate increases the scheme should
exploit the increasing... (Update)
