Abstract: This work looks at some of the problems of model-based Decision Support Systems for Operations
Management. Our test-bed is a commercial interactive system for logistics, called
Minard. It is based on several different models from Operations Management and basically
aimed at inventory control and demand forecasts. The users of the system are typically managers
creating demand forecasts or warehouse managers planning their purchasing who want
to use the system as a tool for their decisions with... (Update)
