Abstract: Implicit Surfaces provide an elegant approach to modeling
and animating physically deformable and organic looking
objects. A major drawback of this approach is its rendering
complexity. Some work has been done on developing
fast, robust techniques for ray tracing and polygonization
of implicit surfaces. While a fast scanline technique has
been proposed for rendering spheres, spheres alone are
