Abstract- Cloud computing is emerging as a new paradigm of large scale distributed computing. It enables a wide range of users to access scalable, virtualized hardware, distributed and/or software infrastructure over the Internet. One of the challenging scheduling problems in Cloud datacenters is to take the allocation and migration of reconfigurable virtual machines into consideration as well as the integrated features of hosting physical machines. In order to select the virtual nodes for executing the task, Load Balancing is used. It is the process of distributing workload across multiple computers, or other resources over the network links to achieve optimal resource utilization, minimum data processing time, minimum average response time, and to avoid overload. Load Balancing ensures that all the processors in the system as well as in the network do approximately the equal amount of work at any instant of time. To simulate large scale applications Cloud-Analyst, the Cloud-Sim based tool is used. The simulator uses different Service Broker Algorithms, Load Balancing Algorithms etc. with taking some parameters under consideration as per requirement. The objective of this paper is to analyze the performance of existing load balancing algorithms with different service broker policies.

Abstract — Cloud Service Providers offer supple, on demand and metered infrastructure services. For organizations, performance of an Application deployed in multiple regions is a matter of concern in Cloud deployment model. Proof of Concepts in Cloud environment gives better understanding but it costs organization heavily in terms of capacity building and resource usage. A useful approach to study such dynamic and massively distributed environment can be simulation of Cloud environments and Applications to evaluate application performance. CloudSim is a framework for modeling and simulation of Cloud computing Environments and assessment of resource provisioning algorithms. CloudAnalyst extends CloudSim with user friendly GUI. This paper projects the use Round-Robin load balancing policies for selection of data centers existing in same region for distribution of load among them. This policy results into efficient resource utilization and better service quality from the Cloud Service Provider’s perspective.

Cloud computing is a way of delivering computing power and other resources on pay-per-use basis. Cloud can be of type public or private depending on the type of network is used for delivering the services. A cloud service comes under various categories depending on the level of resource that is Infrastructure, platform or service. Many cloud computing services are available today to fulfill the user needs and demands. Cloud computing has also attracted many researchers for experimentation for new or existing services. Before deployment of actual cloud experimentation can be done with respect to available tools to perform testing and setting up the benchmarks. An analysis by considering various parameters of such tools is presented to provide guidelines about their working with cloud.

Abstract—Optimal utilization of resources is the core of the provisioning process in the cloud computing. Sometimes the local resources of a data center are not adequate to satisfy the users’ requirements. So, the providers need to create several data centers at different geographical area around the world and spread the users ’ applications on these resources to satisfy both service providers and customers QoS requirements. By considering the expansion of the resources and applications, the transmission cost and time have to be concerned as significant factors in the allocation process. According to the work of our previous paper, a Resource Provision Optimal Algorithm (RPOA) based on Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) has been introduced to find the near optimal resource utilization with considering the customer budget and suitable for deadline time. This paper is considered an enhancement to RPOA algorithm to find the near optimal resource utilization with considering the data transfer time and cost, in addition to the customer budget and deadline time, in the performance measurement.

The present era has witnessed tremendous growth of the internet and various applications that are running over it. Cloud computing is the internet based technology, emphasizing its utility and follows pay-as-you-go model, hence became so popular with high demanding features. Load balancing is one of the interesting and prominent research topics in cloud computing, which has gained a large attention recently. Users are demanding more services with better results. Many algorithms and approaches are proposed by various researchers throughout the world, with the aim of balancing the overall workload among given nodes, while attaining the maximum throughput and minimum time. In this paper, various proposed algorithms addressing the issue of load balancing in Cloud Computing are analyzed and compared to provide a gist of the latest approaches in this research area. ...nodes are having a huge amount of load while other nodes are doing nothing or idle with very little work. It also ensures that all the processor in the system or each node in the network does approximately the equal amount of work at any instant of time [4], [5]. The goal of load balancing is to improve the performance by balancing the load among the various resources (network links, central processing units, disk drives, etc.) to achieve optimal resource utilization, maximum throughput, maximum response time, and to avoid overload. Below figure 1 shows the block diagram of cloud architecture [10]. II. Classification of Load Balancing Algorithms Load balancing algorithms can be broadly classified into two types: Static algorithms and Dynamic algorithms. In Static Scheduling the assignment of tasks to processors is done before program execution begins i.e. in compile time. Scheduling decision is based on information about task execution times, processing resources, etc., which are assumed to be known at compile time [6]. Static scheduling methods are nonpreemptive. The goal of static scheduling methods is to minimize the overall execution time. These algorithms cannot adapt to load chan...

In 21 st century Cloud computing is the boon for all who want to reduce upfront capital expenditure on hardware and software. Cloud computing provides software, infrastructure, platform and data storage on pay-as-you-use basis. Data centers located at different locations provide services to the users. Proper Data center selection is important for proper resource utilization and good response time. Existing service broker policies are used to find the closest and cheapest Data center from intra region. But in case of single Data center failure or temporary Data center down, data center selection is random for inter region. We have proposed a new policy to select the inter region data center based on number of users running on it. In this paper we want to show that this proposed policy gives better response time compare to existing service broker policy. Key Words- cloud computing, service broker policy, cloud analyst, data center, user base I.

Abstract- In the past few years, many overlying concepts of distributed computing eminently cluster, grid and cloud computing have appeared. In recent years, extensive researches have been conducted in the area of simulation to model large complex systems and understand their behavior, especially in parallel and distributed systems. Distributed computing combines multiple computers, geographically dispersed in a cost effective way and presents a single unified resource to the end user with huge storage and computational power. Due to their complexity, grid computing and cloud computing applications need to be tested before running on an appropriate infrastructure. However, access to such infrastructures is not feasible or available to everyone. Therefore, various simulation tools were developed to ease the cost and complexity of testing these applications. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to analyze and compare various simulation tools for some distributed systems such as grid computing and cloud computing.

Cloud computing is an emerging technology, advancing quickly in IT due to the flexibility of using computing without buying any infrastructure but by using as pay-per-use model. It is risky to evaluate the performance of cloud environments as cloud computing adoption increases. The simulation technology has become a powerful tool in cloud computing research community to address these issues. Various cloud simulators have been precisely developed for testing and performance analysis of cloud computing environments. This paper presents a study, analysis and comparison of various existing cloud simulation tools.

In the simplest way, cloud computing means classifying and getting data and programs over the Internet instead of your computer's hard disk drive. It is a dissemination of computing resources—everything from applications to data centers over the Internet on a reward-for-use basis. Cloud computing is mostly defined as a type of computing that focuses on sharing computing resources rather of having the local host or personal devices to manage applications. The major issues related to the cloud are resource discovery, fault tolerance, load balancing, and security. Load balancing is the primary consideration in the cloud-computing environment. Load reconciliation is a mean for propagating workloads across various computing resources. Its main motive is to optimize the usage of resources, boost turnout, deprecation reaction time, and avoiding the needless burden of any such resources. It becomes a severe problem with the ceaseless increase in the list of users and type of applications on clouds. This paper presents a quick review of cloud computing. The main highlight of this document is on the load balancing approach in cloud computing. Keywords:
