The correspondences proposed previously between higher spin gauge theories and free singleton field theories were recently extended into a more complete picture by Klebanov and Polyakov in the case of the minimal bosonic theory in D = 4 to include the strongly coupled fixed point of the 3d O(N) vector model. Here we propose an N = 1 supersymmetric version of this picture. We also elaborate on the role of parity in constraining the bulk interactions, and in distinguishing two minimal bosonic models obtained as two different consistent truncations of the minimal N = 1 model that retain the scalar or the pseudoscalar field. We refer to these models as the Type A and Type B models, respectively, and conjecture that the latter is holographically dual to the 3d GrossNeveu model. In the case of the Type A model, we show the vanishing of the threescalar amplitude with regular boundary conditions. This agrees with the O(N) vector model computation of Petkou, thereby providing a nontrivial test of the KlebanovPolyakov

We study three dimensional conformal field theories described by U(N) ChernSimons theory at level k coupled to massless fermions in the fundamental representation. By solving a SchwingerDyson equation in lightcone gauge, we compute the exact planar free energy of the theory at finite temperature on R2 as a function of the ’t Hooft coupling λ = N/k. Employing a dimensional reduction regularization scheme, we find that the free energy vanishes at λ  = 1; the conformal theory does not exist for λ > 1. We analyze the operator spectrum via the anomalous conservation relation for higher spin currents, and in particular show that the higher spin currents do not develop anomalous dimensions at leading order in 1/N. We present an integral equation whose solution in principle determines all correlators of these currents at leading order in 1/N and present explicit perturbative results for all three point functions up to two loops. We also discuss a lightcone Hamiltonian formulation of this theory where a W ∞ algebra arises. The maximally supersymmetric version of our theory is ABJ model with one gauge group taken to be U(1), demonstrating that a pure higher spin gauge theory arises as a limit of string theory. ar X iv

We give a oneparameter family of exact solutions to fourdimensional higherspin gauge theory invariant under a deformed higherspin extension of SO(3,1) and parameterized by a zeroform invariant. All higherspin gauge fields vanish, while the metric interpolates between two asymptotically AdS4 regions via a dS3foliated domainwall and two RobertsonWalkerlike H3foliated spacetimes – one in the future and one in the past – with the scalar field playing the role of foliation parameter. We investigate classical rotating membranes in two different backgrounds. First, we obtain membrane solution in AdS4 × S 7 background, analogous to the solution obtained by Hofman and Maldacena in the case of string theory. We find a magnon type dispersion relation similar to that of Hofman and Maldacena and to the one found by Dorey for the two spin case. The minimal bosonic higher spin gauge theory in four dimensions contains massless particles of spin s = 0, 2, 4,.. that arise in the symmetric product of two spin 0 singletons.
