Starting from a 6dimensional nilpotent Lie group N endowed with an invariant SU(3) structure, we construct a homogeneous conformally parallel G2metric on an associated solvmanifold. We classify all halfflat SU(3) structures that endow the rankone solvable extension of N with a conformally parallel G2 structure. By suitably deforming the SU(3) structures obtained, we are able to describe the corresponding nonhomogeneous Ricciflat metrics with holonomy contained in G2. In the process we also find a new metric with exceptional holonomy.

We consider type II string theory in spacetime backgrounds which admit eight supercharges. Such backgrounds are characterized by the existence of a (generically nonintegrable) generalized SU(3)×SU(3) structure. We demonstrate how the corresponding tendimensional supergravity theories can in part be rewritten using generalised O(6, 6)covariant fields, in a form that strongly resembles that of fourdimensional N = 2 supergravity, and precisely coincides with such after an appropriate Kaluza–Klein reduction. Specifically we demonstrate that the NS sector admits a special Kähler geometry with Kähler potentials given by the Hitchin functionals. Furthermore we explicitly compute the N = 2 version of the superpotential from the transformation law of the gravitinos, and find its N = 1 counterpart.

Abstract: The local uplift via local SYZ mirror symmetry, of N D3branes, M fractional D3branes and Nf flavor D7branes wrapping a noncompact four cycle in the presence of a blackhole resulting in a nonKähler resolved warped deformed conifold (NKRWDC) in [1], was carried out in [2] and resulted in black M3branes; the deviation from the ISD condition of the flux G3 proportional to the square of the resolution parameter, in the limits discussed in [1] / [2]: very small/finite gs, very large/finite gsM, very large gsN, finite Nf, very small/finite g2sMNf and very small gsM2 N, can be ignored [3]. The uplift, if valid globally, asymptotes to M5branes wrapping a twocycle (homologously an (large) integer sum of twospheres) in AdS5 ×M6. Interestingly, in the aforementioned limits, assuming the deformation parameter to be larger than the resolution parameter, by estimating the five SU(3) structure torsion (τ) classes W1,2,3,4,5 we show that τ ∈W5 in the larger limit, implying the NKRWDC reduces to a warped Kähler deformed conifold. Further, the local T 3 of [2] in the larger limit and the limits of [1] and the ‘MQGP ’ limit of [2], satisfies
