Abstract. The purpose of this paper is to introduce a new hybrid fixed point iterative algorithms of KirkNoor type in normed linear space and prove stability results for self and nonself operators by employing a certain contractive condition. An example is also provided to show that rate of convergence of newly introduced KirkNoor iterative algorithm can be better than KirkMann and KirkIshikawa iterative algorithms for quasicontractive operators. The results in this paper are improvements, generalization, and extensions of the works of M.O. Olatinwo and many others in the literature. Mathematics Subject Classification. 47H06, 54H25

the Creative Commons Attribution License, which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited. We introduce the Jungckmultistep iteration and show that it converges strongly to the unique common fixed point of a pair of weakly compatible generalized contractivelike operators defined on a Banach space. As corollaries, the results show that the JungckMann, JungckIshikawa, and JungckNoor iterations can also be used to approximate the common fixed points of such maps. The results are improvements, generalizations, and extensions of the work of Olatinwo and Imoru 2008, Olatinwo 2008. Consequently, several results in literature are generalized.

Starting from a weak concept of stability, introduced by Berinde [1] and called “weak stability”, in [27] we develop a weaker notion, named “wstability”. Therefore, in this paper we prove some results of this weaker stability concept for certain class of mappings and also we give some examples of wstable but not weak stable nor stable iterations. Because of the restriction of an “approximate ” sequence, some fixed point iteration procedures are not weakly stable so if it is used a weaker type of sequence, the stability can be obtained in the meaning of a new concept. General Terms Fixedpoint and coincidence theorems.

In this paper, we study strong convergence as well as stability results for a pair of nonself mappings using JungckSP iterative scheme and a certain contractive condition. Moreover, with the help of computer programs in C++, we show that JungckSP iterative scheme converges faster than JungckNoor, JungckIshikawa and JungckMann iterative schemes through example.

Abstract. In this paper, we shall establish some stability results as well as strong convergence results for a pair of nonselfmappings using some newly introduced iteration processes and two general contractive conditions. Our results are improvements, generalizations and extensions of the results in some of the references listed in the reference section of this paper as well as some other analogous ones in the literature. 1.

The stability of iterative procedures plays an important role while solving the nonlinear equations obtained out of a physical problem using the advanced computational tools. The main purpose of this paper is to present a weaker stability result for JungckIshikawa iteration process for a map satisfying some general contractive conditions in metric spaces. Some well known recent results are also derived as special cases. An example is given to support the rationality of the used iterative scheme.
