This deliverable deals with two fields related to the selective exposure of data and documents, namely access control and digital rights management (DRM). Both fields deal with the problem of determining whether a certain user should have access to a certain piece of information or document. The former (access control) is more related to security, i.e., it controls access to sensitive or classified information. The latter (DRM) is mainly used to protect the legal rights that stem from the creation or ownership of a document, work of art, invention etc, i.e., it is related to copyright issues and financial rights of digital objects.
