Abstract: This memo will try to illustrate some of these points using an
example found to be representative while designing a larger piece of vision
software in ML: a basic edge tracking algorithm.
In a first section, we will concentrate on a sequential implementation of
this algorithm, showing how very simple program transformation techniques
can lead to very succint expressions of solutions, without sacrifying to efficiency.
In the second section, we will introduce the use of the so-called
functional... (Update)
