Grae-New Haven Community Hospital THE USE OF MONOZYGOUS TWIN CASES IN THE STUDY
"... Workers seriously interested in genetic problems have long deplored emphasis in the clinical literature on case reports concerning disease occurring in both members of a pair of identical twins (concordant). The value of reporting cases of illness appearing in one member of a pair (discordant) is ob ..."

twins are rarer anomalies of monochorionic monoamniotic twins, consisting of an incomplete twin attached to the fully developed body of the co-twin. Case presentation: A 30-year-old multigravid woman referred to maternal fetal unit due to polyhydramnios at 28th week of gestation. Sonographic examination
BILATERAL WEBBED FINGERS IN A SET OF FRATERNAL TWINS- CASE REPORT
"... Syndactyly or webbing or fusion of the fingers or toes is a congenital anomaly characterized by the fusion of the digits. This may be cutaneous, due to bridging of soft tissues or osseous, due to bone fusion of varying severity. Our clients, a set of male twins presented with bilateral webbing of th ..."

On the geometry and cohomology of some simple Shimura varieties
, 1999
"... This paper has twin aims. On the one hand we prove the local Langlands conjecture for GL n over a p-adic field. On the other hand in many cases we are able to identify the action of the decomposition group at a prime of bad reduction on the l-adic cohomology of the "simple" Shimura varieti ..."

Utilizing Twins as Controls for Non-Twin Case-Materials in Genome Wide Association Studies
"... Twin registries around the globe have collected DNA samples from large numbers of monozygotic and dizygotic twins. The twin sample collections are frequently used as controls in disease-specific studies together with non-twins. This approach is unbiased under the hypothesis that twins and singletons ..."

RESEARCH ARTICLE Open Access Responsiveness to exercise training in juvenile dermatomyositis: a twin case study
"... Background: Patients with juvenile dermatomyositis (JDM) often present strong exercise intolerance and muscle weakness. However, the role of exercise training in this disease has not been investigated. Purpose: this longitudinal case study reports on the effects of exercise training on a 7-year-old ..."

The influence of cardiorespiratory fitness (VO 2 max) on anthropometric variables and PPARGmRNA expression was investigated. Monozygotic twin pairs aged 11 ..."

"... Coexistence of a viable fetus with a hydatidiform mole is a rare condition and the diag-nosis is very important because of the risk of developing severe complications in preg-nancy. The management of these pregnancies is optional, although accurate and great care is required to find early signs of m ..."

of maternal or fetal complications. Hereby we report a case of dizygotic twin pregnancy with a complete mole and coexist-ing fetus that resulted in a live neonate. Implication for health policy/practice/research/medical education: Coexistence of a viable fetus with a hydatidiform mole is a rare condition

The use of sub-arachnoid block in a restless eclamptic is not very common. Studies have demonstrated some benefits of sub-arachnoid block over general anaesthesia in stable eclamptic but its role in the management of unstable eclampsia has not been established. Reported below is an eclamptic parturient who was restless despite magnesium sulphate regimen and possesed features suggestive of difficult airway who had uneventful subarachnoid- block for caesarean section.
