This technical report describes a theoretical and experimental in-vestigation of factors affecting the performance of toroidal inductors with ferrite cores and windings of coaxial cable. Design procedures are developed and described for toroidal cable chokes which provide a specified minimum amount of rf isolation over a band of frequencies. It is shown how one may maximize the width of the frequency band for a given rf isolation impedance. In fact it is shown that the entire band, from 2 to 30 Mc, may be covered by a set of only three individual cable chokes, providing an rf isolation of better than 5,000 ohms. s I ii ttk. i..A »iTii. a law
Micro-parametric variation and negative concord
- In Proceedings of LSRL. John Benjamins
, 2004
"... The purpose of this chapter is to compare the properties of negative concord (NC) in various French-related dialects to analyze better the factors that condition and limit observed micro-parametric variations. We examine both synchronic and diachronic Standard French (SF) in relation to Quebec ..."

ISOPERIMETRIC INEQUALITIES FOR PARAMETRIC VARIATIONAL PROBLEMS
"... We prove isoperimetric inequalities for general parametric variational double integrals F, whose Lagrangians F depend on the position vector X and on the surface normal N. As an essential tool we introduce Sauvigny’s F-conformal parameters adapted to the parametric integrand and use the notion of ge ..."

Comparison of parametric representations for monosyllabic word recognition in continuously spoken sentences
- ACOUSTICS, SPEECH AND SIGNAL PROCESSING, IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON
, 1980
"... Several parametric representations of the acoustic signal were compared as to word recognition performance in a syllable-oriented continuous speech recognition system. The vocabulary in-cluded many phonetically similar monosyllabic words, therefore the emphasis was on ability to retain phonetically ..."

RECENT DEVELOPMENTS IN PARAMETRIZED VARIATIONAL PRINCIPLES FOR MECHANICS
, 1996
"... Abstract. This paper gives an introduction to the formulation of parametrized variational principles (PVPs) in mechanics. This is complemented by more advanced material describing selected recent developments in hybrid and nonlinear variational principles. A PVP is a variational principle containing ..."

On a Generic Class of Regular One-Parametric Variational Inequalities.
, 1999
"... In this paper the regularity of one-parametric optimization problems in the sense of Jongen, Jonker and Twilt is extended to one-parametric variational inequalities. The five singularities are defined in this context and suitable indices are described around them. Many of the local properties of the ..."
