Generation of Emotions by a Morphing Technique

by In English French, Jacques Toen, Elan Tts , 2002
"... Generating variants becomes a priority for text-to-speech (TTS) synthesis. In particular, additional mark-ups inserted within the text may be used to communicate emotions. Within the framework of a European project linked to the MPEG4 standard (INTERFACE),our purpose is the synthesis of six emotions ..."

emotions (anger, disgust, fear, joy, surprise and sadness): this was performed by applying a morphing technique, from the sequence of phonemes and their corresponding prosodic characteristics, for a "neutral" style, generated by a multilingual TTS system. We dispose of corpora declined under

MORPHING TECHNIQUES FOR ENHANCED SCAT SINGING

by Jordi Janer, Alex Loscos

In jazz, scat singing is a phonetic improvisation that imitates instrumental sounds. In this paper, we propose a system that aims to transform singing voice into real instrument sounds, extending the possibilities for scat singers. Analysis algorithms in the spectral domain extract voice parameters, which drive the resulting instrument sound. A small database contains real instrument samples that have been spectrally analyzed offline. Two different prototypes are introduced, reproducing a trumpet and a bass guitar respectively. 1.1. History of scat singing 1.

ANIMATING BASIC OPERATIONS FOR DIGITAL MAP GENERALIZATION WITH MORPHING TECHNIQUES

by Zhilin Li, Meiling Wong
"... This paper describes an animation for multi-scale representation of spatial data. More specifically, morphing technique is employed to animate the operations for the geometric transformations in digital map generalization. Operations required for the geometric transformations are first introduced; m ..."

TECHNOLOGY Morphing Technique for Creating Composites of Face Images

by Shubhangi V. Lokh, S. B. Patil
"... Face morphing is a technique that makes a transition from one face image to another face image. It has been extensively used in multiple fields of work, such as animation, movie production, games, and mobile applications. There are two types of methods used to conduct face morphing. First is semiaut ..."

View morphing

by Steven M. Seitz, Charles R. Dyer - In Computer Graphics (SIGGRAPH’96 , 1996
"... Image morphing techniques can generate compelling 2D transitions between images. However, differences in object pose or viewpoint often cause unnatural distortions in image morphs that are difficult to correct manually. Using basic principles of projective geometry, this paper introduces a simple ex ..."

An Image Morphing Technique Based on Optimal Mass Preserving Mapping

by Lei Zhu, Yan Yang, Steven Haker, Allen Tannenbaum - IEEE Transactions on Image Processing , 2007
"... Abstract—Image morphing, or image interpolation in the time domain, deals with the metamorphosis of one image into another. In this paper, a new class of image morphing algorithms is proposed based on the theory of optimal mass transport. The 2 mass moving energy functional is modified by adding an ..."

ON A NEW USE OF AUTOMATIC MORPHING TECHNIQUES: TO CORRECT DISTORTION OF ENDOSCOPIC SYSTEMS

by Tiago Bonini Borchartt, Marcos Cordeiro D’ornellas, Aura Conci, Alicia Del, Carmen Becerra Romero, Paulo Henrique, Pires Aguiar
"... Abstract. Morphing is a well know Computer Graphic (CG) tool useful in movies and ani-mations that changes (or morphs) one image into another through a smooth transitions. In this work we present an automatic morphing system, based on triangular mesh, to correct dis-tortions in endoscopic medical im ..."

View Interpolation for Image Synthesis

by Shenchang Eric Chen, et al.
"... Image-space simplifications have been used to accelerate the calculation of computer graphic images since the dawn of visual simulation. Texture mapping has been used to provide a means by which images may themselves be used as display primitives. The work reported by this paper endeavors to carry t ..."

The special-effects technique of morphing, which combines interpolation of texture maps and their shape, is applied to computing arbitrary intermediate frames from an array of prestored images. If the images
