Table 2: Findings of the Cybernomics Experiment Complementarity

in Putting Auction Theory to Work: Ascending Auctions with Package Bidding
by Paul Milgrom 2000
"... In PAGE 9: ... Particularly influential was a study sponsored by the FCC and conducted by Cybernomics (2000) comparing the experimental performance of the SAA to that of a particular combinatorial auction called the simultaneous ascending auction with package bidding (SAAPB). The major findings of that study are summarized in Table2 below. The study was conducted under four experimental conditions.... ..."

Table 3. Perplexity and WER for Content Words and Stop Words. Next, to see whether we indeed improve the model when syntactic head words are di erent from N-grams, all his- tories in the test sentences are divided into two sets: those histories whose head words (hi?2; hi?1) coincide with the two immediately preceding words (wi?2; wi?1) and those whose head-words do not. About 75% of the histories in the test set belong to the former category, perhaps explaining the considerable power of the trigram model. The perplexity and WER for these two sets are counted separately in the same way as in the previous experiment.

in Combining Nonlocal, Syntactic And N-Gram Dependencies In Language Modeling
by Jun Wu, Sanjeev Khudanpur 1999
"... In PAGE 3: ... The words in the recognizer apos;s output are also similarly marked, and each recognition error is assigned to one of the two sets, separating the WER over the two sets of words. The breakdown of the results is shown in Table3 . One can see that the topic sensitive model reduces WER by 1.... ..."

Table8 shows the top 5 URLs for the query \blues quot; using the topic-sensitive PageRank vectors for Arts, Health, and NoBias. We see that as desired, most of the results ranked using the Arts-biased vector are pages discussing music, while all of the top results ranked using the Health-biased vector discuss depression.... ..."

Table 2: Perplexities and Word Error Rates(%) of Baseline models.

in A Maximum Entropy Language Model with Topic Sensitive Features
by Jun Wu, Advisors Dr, Sanjeev Khudanpur, Dr. Frederick Jelinek 1998
"... In PAGE 13: ...Table 3: Perplexities for the topic sensitive bigram model rates of this maximum entropy model are shown in Table2 . Both perplex- ity and word error rate of the model are very close to those of a backo model since the maximum entropy model uses only the Markov features of the backo model.... ..."

Influential parameters identified by first order sensitivity analysis 30 Table 8.... In PAGE 36: ... The sensitivity coefficients were combined with uncertainty estimates for each of the parameters according to the standard propagation of errors formula. Based on the first-order analysis, the 38 parameters shown below in Table7... In PAGE 37: ...mong these influential parameters, the solvent parameters are treated as outputs, i.e., they are the parameters that are to be estimated. The other potential influential parameters identified in Table7 are treated as random input variables with lognormal distributions for the reaction rate constants and chamber-derived aromatics parameters, and normal distributions for the initial concentrations. Several uncertain input variables are influential for both the radical source parameters and the butyl acetate or butoxy ethanol parameters (Table 7).... In PAGE 37: ... The optimal radical source parameters and associated uncertainties for the individual experiments are shown in Table 10.... In PAGE 45: ... The only influential parameter in the 2-butoxy ethanol mechanism found by the first-order analysis was the nitrate yield, pN.
