Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (MANETs) are wireless networks in which all nodes are moving freely in the network; also they can leave or enter into the network at any time. The nodes in these types of networks are communicating on-the-move without any base stations [1]. Due to this mobility, inter-node connectivity may change frequently during normal operation which imposes new problems in network control, particularly in the design of higher level protocols such as routing. Routing is the most critical issue in MANET due to mobility of the nodes [2]. The performance of MANET is basically depends upon routing protocol use by the network. Routing protocol is nothing but the rules and regulations of routing which governs the journey of message packets from source to destination in a network. There were different routing
Adaptive Channel Reuse in Cellular Systems
"... Abstract — In cellular systems a large reuse distance reduces cochannel interference while a small reuse distance increases bandwidth allocated to each cell. The optimal reuse distance is chosen to balance these two factors. Instead of applying a fixed reuse distance to the entire system, in this pa ..."

, in this paper we study the effect of adaptive channel reuse based on channel strength. Assuming the traditional single base station transmission, adaptive channel reuse under different propagation models, with or without fading, is analyzed for the Wyner linear cellular model. A new approach where base stations
Lecture 2 Today: (1) Channel Reuse
"... locker labeled “ECE 5325”. 1 Channel Reuse The key idea of cellular communications is that one channel (for example, a FDMA frequency channel) used in one area (cell) can be reused in many different non-neighboring areas (co-channel cells). To be able to reuse a channel, we will need to ensure that ..."

Channel Reuse Strategies for Indoor Infrared Wireless Communications
- IEEE Transactions on Communications
, 1997
"... Abstract—We examine systems of fixed-channel reuse for base stations in an indoor infrared wireless communication system. The following techniques are compared: • time-division multiple access (TDMA) using on-off keying (OOK) or pulse-position modulation (PPM); • frequency-division multiple access ( ..."

A simple distributed autonomous power control algorithm and its convergence
- IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON VEHICULAR TECHNOLOGY
, 1993
"... For wireless cellular communication systems, one seeks a simple effective means of power control of signals associated with randomly dispersed users that are reusing a single channel in different cells. By effecting the lowest interference environment, in meeting a required minimum signal-to-interf ..."

CHANNEL REUSE MULTIPLE ACCESS PROTOCOL FOR BIDIRECTIONAL BUS '1NETWORIKS
, 1992
"... Abstract Levy and Kleinrock have investigated the behavior of a bidi-rectional bus network with NV regularly spaced stations. wichere We propose a novel contention-free multiple access proto- a> (N- 1) [4][5]. They have proposed some transmission pat-col for bidirectional passive bus packet netwo ..."

An Efficient Cross Layer Design for OFDMA-Based Wireless Networks with Channel Reuse
"... Abstract—This paper considers a joint design that incorporates the physical, medium access and network layers of a generic OFDMA-based wireless network with an ad hoc topology. The network employs channel reuse, whereby a frequency subchannel might be used simultaneously by multiple nodes. In additi ..."

Effects of correlated shadowing signals on channel reuse in mobile radio systems
- IEEE Trans. Vehicular Technology
, 1991
"... Abstract-This paper presents a study to evaluate the cochan-ne1 interference probability for the desired and interference signals which are correlated due to shadowing. The effects of correlation on the normalized reuse distance is investigated. A generalized expression for the cochannel interferenc ..."
