Abstract: Introduction
Multipole-based Algorithms provide O(N) or O(N log N) solution to computation
of N-body interaction problems. These types of problems are seen in a
wide variety of applications including molecular dynamics, fluid dynamics,
and astrophysical simulation, among others. Efficient O(N) implementations
can provide a significant time savings over other methods for medium
to large sized simulations. Maximizing the performance of these algorithms
