Abstract: this paper we present a simplified APP algorithm which was
successfully tested using the rate half systematic convolutional
16 state Turbo code given in [2], with a 20#20 block
interleaver of 400 bits. For an E b /N 0 = 2.0 dB and eight
iterations, an output bit error ratio P b # 1.5 # 10 (Update)
