Abstract: This paper traces the evolution of simulation support tools and outlines ARGUS, a discrete event simulation program generator that targets mainly the area of queueing systems. ARGUS supports three levels of operation, depending on the user's needs and programming expertise. The system to be simulated can be specified using an integrated graphical editor or a textual description language. Objectoriented concepts such as encapsulation, inheritance and polymorphism are employed in both the... (Update)
