Abstract: : In this paper, we introduce the JUMP-DP
DSM system, which integrates two novel techniques
to improve DSM performance: The migrating-home
protocol, which adapts better to the memory access
patterns of most DSM applications, is able to reduce
the amount of data communicating among machines
to maintain memory consistency; and the use of
Socket-DP, a kernel module which provides lowlatency
communication with an easy-to-use socket
interface, is able to outperform BSD Sockets by at
least 12.9% due... (Update)
