Abstract: this
document. Firstly, the quesion of appropriate primitive constructs for construction,
decomposition and querying is addressed. Primitives are inseparably tied to a model
of semistructured data, and we will discuss models and primitives together in Section
2. Second, typing rules for these primitives are to be developed, which moreover
take into account other semistructured validation mechanisms. We attempt to give
an overview in Section 3. We shall see that primitive constructs and types... (Update)
