Abstract: One of the new emerging technology for data management is today represented by
federated systems. The success of this technology, which has been receiving increasing
attention from researchers and developers, comes from the need to integrate and work
on dierent existing systems independently developed and evolved. The necessity of
making them available to users as if they were a single system while at the same
time not aecting their independent working arises several issues with respect... (Update)
