Abstract: Belief change is an interdisciplinary topic and is
researched in departments of Computer Science,
Artificial Intelligence, Philosophy, Mathematics
and Engineering. It is therefore not surprising
that there are a variety of approaches to defin-
ing belief change operations. In this paper we
present an information-theoretic semantics for
belief change. We argue that such a semantics has
important implications when justifying both exist-
ing and newly constructed belief change operations.... (Update)
