Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to present a comprehensive overview of current steganographic techniques for tamper detection and authent ication of visual information. Fragile, semifragile, robust watermarks, and selfembedding are discussed as a means for detecting both malicious and inadvertent changes to digital imagery.
