Abstract: The geometrical structure of estimating functions is elucidated by information geometry in the framework of semiparametric statistical models. A condition which guarantees the existence of an estimating function is given. Moreover, the set of all the estimating functions is obtained explicitly when it is not null. The optimal estimating function is derived, and the maximum Godambe information is explicitly given. A geometrical condition is given which guarantees that the Godambe information is... (Update)
