Abstract: This paper is concerned with the synchronous motion control of multi-axis servo
systems. To obtain good synchronization motion a cross-coupled generalized predictive control
algorithm has been proposed. It is shown that the cross-coupling control action introduced
in an optimal way may eectively reduce the synchronization deviations of multi-axis servo
systems. Simulations on a synchronous servo system of two-axis motion have shown that the
