Abstract: This paper presents a brief survey of several models representing anatomical knowledge and applicable in medical image understanding. The models include high-level symbolic model, statistically trained Point Distribution Model, and models based on geometric primitives - superquadrics. Properties of the models are discussed. Finaly, combined model implementation is presented. (Update)
