Abstract: The Grassberger-Procaccia algorithm for the calculation of correlation dimension provides a value which underestimates the real correlation dimension, even for precise and noiseless data. This fact is connected with the data set size used for calculation. In this paper, relation between the amount of data points and precision of the dimension estimate is derived. Numerical experiments with Lorenz system are used to illustrate the results. 1 Introduction This paper deals with correlation... (Update)
