Abstract: Most of current parallel programmingenvironments are based on thread packages that allow the exploitation of a single level of parallelism (through work--sharing constructs to express either parallel loops or sections). These thread packages do not enable the spawing of new threads from inside a previously activated parallel region. However, the OpenMP programming interface includes in its current definition the exploitation of multi--level parallelism through the nesting of work--sharing... (Update)
