Abstract: Logic programming with the stable model semantics is put forward as an interesting constraint programming paradigm. It is shown that the paradigm embeds classical logical satisfiability but seems to provide a more expressive framework from a knowledge representation point of view. The applicability of the paradigm is demonstrated using combinatorial graph problems and planning problems as examples. An efficient implementation of the paradigm has been developed and is publicly available. The... (Update)
